The exhibition "Layers of Time – Everydaylife in Svalbard" explores Svalbard's essence through art and questions how the photographs are relevant today and how memories and experiences are passed down from generation to generation.
Artists give us new perspectives on Svalbard, including from a woman's perspective, and challenge the often used notion of Spitsbergen as masculine, heroic, uninhabited and inhospitable.
