In concert with Peder Balke: Vision and Revolution, the museum hosts an exhibition with works by contemporary artist Thomas Falstad. Seen in dialogue with Peder Balke’s paintings, the artworks by Falstad provide an additional encounter with nature’s visual power. Falstad is known for his paintings and sculptures that explore dreams and reality, mental states and history.

Thomas Falstad (born 1977 in Trondheim) lives and works in Oslo and Lofoten. In 2001, he graduated from Kingston University in London. He has had numerous solo exhibitions, for instance at Kristiansand Kunsthall, The Boiler Room, Østfold Kunstnersenter, and Tegneforbundet. In addition, his work has been exhibited at the Vigeland Museum, Kunstnernes Hus, and the Stenersen Museum.
