Solo exhibition with the Norwegian Sámi artist Ingunn Utsi, winner of the John Savio Award 2023.

Utsi is particularly known for her sculptures, where she often uses wood, often driftwood, combined with other materials such as Plexiglas, stone, feathers, bone, fur and gold leaf. She has had a number of major decoration commissions, most recently the decoration of the new Hammerfest Hospital. You could say that Utsi works with what the sea brings to her on the coast near Nordkapp in Sápmi, and she infuses each work with life experiences and Sámi spiritual knowledge.

I am what I have done is an up close and personal exhibition because her work is just that, strongly personal, process-oriented and based on the tactile dialogue between an artist and her ocean-borne material..

The exhibition is curated by NNKM's curator Lise Dahl.
