Border Aesthetics

We have the pleasure of hosting the launch of Border Aesthetics. Concepts and Intersections, edited by Johan Schimanski and Stephen F. Wolfe. The book is a collection on the aesthetics of borders, organized around six key ideas - ecology, imaginary, in/visibility, palimpsest, sovereignty and waiting.

Welcoming remarks by Jérémie McGowan, director of Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum, and Linda Nesby from the institute of Language and Culture at the University of Tromsø. Talk by Jopi Nyman, professor of English literature at the University of Eastern Finland.

There will be a seminar at the university campus on May 16th relating to the publication.
